2018 Sugar Cane Ball in Photos

Continuing in a decades-long tradition, Round Hill Hotel and Villas hosted the 2018 Sugar Cane Ball on February 17, 2018, benefitting Hanover Charities.  The lavish affair included a live and silent auction, glamorous attendees, fabulous food, and plenty of dancing—all to benefit the good works of the charity.

Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Lauren were special honorees of this year’s Sugar Cane Ball in aid of Hanover Charities. This is the first time anyone has been honoured by the Charity—and comes by way of special thanks to the Laurens for their longstanding commitment and generosity to Hanover Charities. Mr. & Mrs. Lauren and their family have been an integral part of Hanover Charities for over 30 years.

Round Hill has been a major supporter of the Hanover Charities with its annual Sugar Cane Ball every February since 1957 when the charity was founded. Hanover Charities plays a major role in Hanover Parish and covers a wide range of projects for its citizens from very young to old. Funds generated from the weekend’s events go towards the foundation’s several initiatives including implementing programs aimed to strengthen reading and computer skills in communities, funding soup kitchens and health clinics, supplying basic necessities to the disabled and elderly and contributing scholarships to local deserving students. The event sees over 340 participants including socialites, ambassadors, celebrities, and business leaders from the United States, Europe and Jamaica and raises an average of nearly US$200,000 for the Hanover Charities annually.
