Hanover Charities & Chukka Foundation Give Back from Recent Polo Charity Match

The handing over ceremony for the Hanover Charities and Chukka Foundation Polo Charity event was recently held at Round Hill Hotel and Villas.

Proceeds from the event were divided between Chukka Foundation and Hanover Charities in support of their philanthropic missions; financing their scholarships and community projects throughout Western Jamaica. Medical equipment valued at over JA $500 000 was also donated to the Cornwall Regional Hospital’s Cancer Care Department in memory of Mr. Roy Ten Fah, JP.

The Chukka Foundation and Hanover Charities hosted their 10th signature Polo Charity Event on Sunday, 17th February 2019 at the Chukka Sandy Bay Polo Field in Hanover. The event featured the Newport RI International Polo Team alongside Jamaica’s finest talented polo players.

The Polo Charity Event is Jamaica’s largest and most prestigious polo event and is endorsed by The Jamaica Tourist Board and other sponsors. With the participation of the Rhode Island Newport Polo Team, the event received international audience to broaden the charities and sponsors reach.

The annual event is a part of one of the premier week during the winter social calendar – including Hanover Charities’ legendary fundraiser, the Sugar Cane Ball.
