Round Hill Earns 2020 Wine Spectator Restaurant Award

The Restaurant at Round Hill has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2020 Restaurant Awards. The annual program, which recognizes restaurants around the world as the top destinations for wine lovers, successfully moved forward this year despite the effects of COVID-19.

“We are so honored for The Restaurant at Round Hill to be distinguished with the prestigious Wine Spectator Restaurant Award,” said Josef Forstmayr, Managing Director of Round Hill Hotel and Villas. “This recognition is a testament to the talents, dedication and hard work of our brilliant culinary team, including our Food & Beverage Manager Seon Walker and Executive Chef Martin Maginley, who create a memorable experience for guests. We look forward to welcoming our guests back when Round Hill reopens in the coming months.”

Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award—with 2,289; 1,387; and 100 winners this year in each respective category.

 The Restaurant at Round Hill has won the Award of Excellence. The Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
