Established in 1834, The Gleaner Hospitality Jamaica Awards is one of the most celebrated hospitality awards in Jamaica, honoring the best of the best in tourism and hospitality. Now in its 3rd year, The Gleaner Hospitality Jamaica Awards voted on their favorite hotels, resorts, attractions, and more in the annual awards survey, and this year it was revealed that Round Hill Hotel and Villas was named “Best in Cuisine” for 2017.
“We are humbled to be recognized by the Hospitality Jamaica Awards in this way,” said Round Hill’s Managing Director Josef Forstmayr. “Speaking on behalf of the property, I can firmly say how proud we are to be a part of this fantastic list of top resorts in Jamaica. This accolade speaks volumes to the dedication of our staff, whom I would like to sincerely thank for their efforts.”
To celebrate this wonderful accomplishment, Round Hill encourages travelers to experience the resort’s abundance of dining pleasures found throughout the property. Award-winning Executive Chef, Martin Maginley, and his talented team showcase the finest local ingredients in a variety of custom-crafted dishes inspired by Jamaica’s bounty and the cultural influences that continually evolve the palate of this region.
Some highlights include the farm-to-table dinners that are held twice weekly, with ingredients sourced from the property’s very own onsite organic vegetable garden, and the resort’s recent partnership with the One Love Leaning Foundation, encouraging education and sustainable farming within our local community – all of which are exemplary features worthy of receiving this year’s ‘Best in Cuisine’ for The Gleaner Hospitality Jamaica Awards.
