“There is nothing you cannot do.” – Tao-Porchon-Lynch
In December, Round Hill was graced with the presence of the remarkable ninety-six year old Tao Porchon-Lynch, the world’s oldest living yoga master, who led a complimentary evening yoga class on property. This unforgettable experience gave yogis the opportunity to practice alongside Tao, as she shared her wisdom and kind spirit with all in attendance. Yogis enjoyed a master class as well as vegetarian hors’ d’oeuvres and wine as they mingled and snapped photos with the legend herself.
The Jamaica Observer stated “Yogi enthusiasts in attendance — totally oblivious to the heavy rains outside of the confines of the Hanover Room — drew inspiration from the French-Indian yogi, dancer, oenophilist, former model and actress as she – drawing from her life experiences — offered hope and shared words of wisdom, at all times conveying her mantra ‘There is nothing you cannot do’.”
Extraordinary leaders and teachers change the way we perceive the world. The very best lead us by their example. Tao Porchon-Lynch, Master Yoga teacher, 96 years young, synthesizes the most positive aspects of Indian, European and American thought. Tao is uniquely equipped to spread Yogic insights, originating in India, to Westerners seeking enlightenment.
She has trained and certified hundreds of yoga instructors, since founding the Westchester Institute of Yoga in 1982. Tao has over 70 years of yoga practice and more than 45 years of teaching yoga to students in India, France and the United States of America.
